Nafisah Clay Mental Health Counseling, PLLC  is a fully telehealth mental health private practice that provides compassionate, culturally responsive mental health counseling for adults ages 18 and older. The practice supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, and other challenges that affect emotional well-being.

The practice was born out of a personal commitment to self-care, intentional living, and defining success on my own terms. After years of working within traditional mental health systems and corporate environments, I wanted to create a practice that reflected my purpose, passions, and values while giving clients space to do the same. My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and grounded in culturally responsive and decolonizing principles. Counseling focuses on helping clients better understand themselves, develop meaningful coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and create a life that feels more aligned, sustainable, and fulfilling.

Clients can expect therapy to be a space for self-understanding, personal growth, and intentional change. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities, along with psychoeducation and practical tools, based on each client’s unique needs, goals, and lived experience. Our work may explore emotions, thoughts, behaviors, relationships, identity, values, and the broader context of a client’s life. The intended outcome is for clients to leave therapy with greater insight, increased self-awareness, practical strategies they can apply in everyday life, and a stronger sense of agency in creating a life that feels meaningful and aligned.
