Our mission
Black Therapists in Rochester exists to connect people in Rochester and Greater Monroe County with culturally responsive Black (including African American) therapists. We make it easier to find trusted local clinicians, specialties, and access options, while helping reduce stigma around mental health by normalizing help-seeking and highlighting care that reflects lived experience.

Finding a therapist shouldn’t feel overwhelming. This directory was created to make the search more direct, more local, and more rooted in cultural understanding. For many people, it matters to work with a therapist who understands the social and cultural context behind what they are carrying. This site helps make that search easier to navigate.
